Leave Cusco before dawn for Q'eswachaka, the last surviving Inca grass-rope bridge. You will cross its swaying span, then visit Pampamarca, Asnacqoccha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi lakes. A bilingual guide, breakfast, lunch, transport, and hotel pickup are included.

Leave Cusco at 5 a.m. for four highland lagoons, Tupac Amaru II’s town, and the handwoven Q’eswachaka Bridge. An English or Spanish guide explains the Inca tradition, then you may cross the ichu-rope span above the Apurímac River. Breakfast and lunch are included, but expect a long, bumpy bus ride.
“We enjoyed seeing the bridge and the history and tradition behind it. We also went on a boat ride down the gorge which was nice. The lakes and volcano - although nice to see did not add any value to the trip. The transport didn’t seem appropriate for the terrible roads and the ride was so bumpy and nauseating. The gap between breakfast and lunch was too long.”
Leave Cusco at 4:00 a.m. for Qeswachaka and the four lagoons with an English or Spanish-speaking guide. You will see the bridge at Quehue, birdlife at Pomacanchi, highland scenery, breakfast, lunch, and a full day on mountain roads. Ask about bridge access and the boat ride before booking.
“I'll be honest, I'm 5'11'' and I myself was way too big for the van...I felt pretty crunched up there, so for some, it may be an uncomfortable ride. Additionally, even though the guide was super nice, and did watch out for me, the majority of the tour was in Spanish, so i feel like I did miss out on a bit of the info, but luckily, I've been in Cusco long enough to previously know the main points/history. Having said that, the Qeswachaka is absolutely beautiful. The bridge, and the boat ride (Do IT!) was absolutely stunning. Just be aware, the drive is a bit of a hard drive...Not…”
