1.4-Day Inca Jungle Adventure, Mountain Biking, Rafting and Zipline

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 60 reviews · 4 days (approx.) · from $378Our pick

Ride downhill from Abra Málaga, raft toward Santa María, hike through coffee and coca fields, zipline near Santa Teresa, then walk to Machu Picchu. This small-group trip includes three nights, meals, a guide and the train to Ollantaytambo, but Machu Picchu entry and the mountain bus cost extra.

“Really enjoyed the Adventure Hike, lots of pros with only a few cons, see below breakdown of the 4 days (I travelled early June 2024), some tips and a packing list of what to take. Day 1, Bike and Raft: Bike was great fun, very easy/beginner friendly as mostly downhill but get to pick up some speed while catching the views. Rafting was excellent with a few decent rapids. Accommodation was terrible, very basic shared hostel with only cold water shower (not ideal after rafting), food was average but didn't go hungry. Day 2, Hike: I'd class myself intermediate hiker and I found it pretty easy, there's a few hills…”

Cusco Rafting and Zipline Adventure

2.Cusco Rafting and Zipline Adventure

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 47 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $100

Spend about eight hours rafting the Vilcanota River near Cusco, then warm up with lunch and a sauna before two short ziplines. English-speaking guides such as Juan Carlos, David, Anderson, and Victor have led past departures. Hotel pickup, equipment, and lunch are included, but bring swimwear, a towel, and rafting shoes.

“Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow! My family of 9 (ages 9 to 69 years) took this tour with Juan Carlos and we had a FABULOUS time. He picked us up at our hotel in Cusco, and provided an overview of the day. After driving to the camp, we met with the other guide and were outfitted with all the equipment needed. We went to the river and received solid instruction about how to paddle, when and how to move into and around the raft, and what to do if someone fell out. Juan Carlos had a third person with us who paddled a kayak nearby in case someone fell out…”

Start with Sacred Valley views, safety training, and four zipline cables, then ride an individual ATV toward Maras and Moray. Guides speak English and Spanish, groups stay small, and the day returns to Cusco around 3 p.m. Bring cash, snacks, sunscreen, and your passport.

“So, this probably didn’t have a ton of reviews yet because it’s technically two separate tours - BUT they’re both awesome, and as long as you’re OK going with the flow, it’ll be a wonderful way to see some of the amazing elements of the Sacred Valley and Moray! You begin with one group which covers the ATV trip, Moray, and Maras. Our guide, Floyd, was amazing, and he gave us a super fun ATV ride AND amazingly detailed and insightful notes on the history behind the historical sites. This is where it gets a little weird - your first group will drop you off at the Zip Lines and…”
